This short course consisting of 6 units of English, 8 in total, serves as an introduction to the basics of the English language. You should aim to spend a few hours a week following the course in order to complete it within 6 to 8 weeks. This course has a 16 week expiry date, so if you need to spend a bit more time completing the course, then the time is there for you.
I recommend that you try to complete one unit per week to stay on track. Continuous learning will also help you remember what you have been studying. There are 6 units of beginners English, each unit has between 4 to 14 lessons within it. At the end of most units there is a short practice quiz. A minimum of 80% is required to pass each unit and move on to the next. Don’t worry if you don’t get 80% the first time, you can attempt the quiz as many times as you like.
The course is in the English language. This is to immerse you into the language from the very beginning. I recommend you follow the course in English and try to understand the context by using the images and materials provided.
*** Important***
During the course you will need to download various files for worksheet exercises and assignments. You will need to be able to open a MS Word document either using Microsoft Office or one of the free versions like Open Office. You must have the ability to be able to save the document so you can upload to the platform for grading. In addition to Word files, there will also be PDF downloads containing useful resources and help sheets, so you must have access to a PDF reader software. Use the links in this paragraph to download any missing software.
Remember you can change the language to your own at any time using the menu at the bottom if you need to clarify and understand something in your own language. If your language is not shown in the menu, please contact me and I will add it to the list.
When you see the language icon in any of the lessons, this is an indication that you should change the language to your own to help you understand the grammar content.
